These Terms of Service govern your use of HousehelpConnect, operated by Victor Oduor Ouma trading as Kejani Connect (BN-6ASRJD2M), Nairobi, Kenya. By using this platform you agree to these terms in full.

HousehelpConnect is an online marketplace that connects households in Nairobi with verified domestic service professionals including housekeepers, cooks, childcare workers, and other helpers. We are a platform — not an employer of helpers. Helpers are independent service providers.
The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension:

Our maximum liability to any user is limited to the amount paid for the specific booking in dispute.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, without notice. Users may delete their account at any time by emailing househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved under Kenyan law in the courts of Nairobi, Kenya. Jurisdiction is never limited to a foreign country — your rights under Kenyan law are fully protected.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
By using HousehelpConnect you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.

This Privacy Policy explains how HousehelpConnect, operated by Kejani Connect (BN-6ASRJD2M), collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information in compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, the Kenya Information and Communications Act, and applicable regulations of the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
YOU UNDERSTAND THAT BY USING THE HOUSEHELPCONNECT SERVICE, YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THIS POLICY IN ITS ENTIRETY, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS OR USE THE HOUSEHELPCONNECT SERVICE.
1.1 Description of Service. HousehelpConnect is a domestic services marketplace platform that connects verified domestic helpers (housekeepers, cooks, nannies, drivers, gardeners, and home nurses) with client households in Nairobi, Kenya.
1.2 Account Registration and KYC. You are required to provide Account Information as part of registration. You agree that any registration information you give to HousehelpConnect will always be accurate and up to date. You cannot transfer your account to anyone else without our prior written approval. The service is available only to persons who are at least eighteen (18) years old.
1.3 You are responsible for: (i) maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password; (ii) any and all transactions by persons that you give access to; and (iii) any and all consequences of use or misuse of your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org.
2.1 Information You Provide:

2.3 Information from Third Parties: Payment transaction data from IntaSend Solutions Limited and M-Pesa/Airtel Money transaction confirmations.
4.1 When using HousehelpConnect we will: accurately communicate the nature of each transaction and amount charged; provide a receipt for each transaction; provide a meaningful way to contact us if a service is not delivered as described; and inform you that IntaSend Solutions Limited processes payment transactions on our behalf.
4.2 HousehelpConnect maintains a fair and neutral refund, cancellation, and adjustment policy explained in our Terms of Service.
4.3 Fee Disclosure: The price shown to clients is all-inclusive; no separate fee is added at checkout. HousehelpConnect retains a service commission (the difference between the client's price and the helper's payout), currently averaging about 16% of booking value. The helper's payout is shown before they accept a job, and the client's total before they confirm payment.
5.1 We Share Data With:
5.2 We Do Not: sell your personal data; share your National ID number with clients; or share client home addresses with helpers beyond what is necessary for service delivery.
5.3 We may disclose your information to law enforcement or government authorities if required by Kenyan law or a valid court order.
6.1 Our Security. HousehelpConnect maintains commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical procedures to protect user data in compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019. No security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6.2 Your Responsibilities. You are solely responsible for the security of your account credentials. You will not share your login details with any other person.
6.3 Fraud Risk. We cannot guarantee that you will never become a victim of fraud. You are solely responsible for losses you incur from unauthorized use of your account credentials. We do not insure you against losses caused by fraud.
To exercise any right, contact our Data Protection Officer at househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org. We respond within 30 days.
You represent, warrant, and agree that you will not use HousehelpConnect in a manner that: infringes intellectual property rights; violates any Kenyan law or regulation; is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, or defamatory; jeopardizes the security of any account; introduces viruses, malware, or other destructive items; or facilitates human trafficking, forced labour, or exploitation of domestic workers. A violation is grounds for immediate termination of your account.
HousehelpConnect is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us immediately at househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org.
HousehelpConnect complies with: the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019; the Kenya Information and Communications Act (Cap 411A); the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act 2018; the National Payment System Act 2011; and the Employment Act 2007.
12.1 HousehelpConnect may make modifications to this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be effective thirty (30) days after we provide notice through the platform interface or to your registered email address.
12.2 Your continued use of HousehelpConnect after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
13.1 Any information or content posted through HousehelpConnect is the sole responsibility of the person from whom it originated. We are not liable for any errors or omissions or for any damages you might suffer in connection with such content.
13.2 HousehelpConnect may contain links to third-party websites or services (including IntaSend, M-Pesa, Google Maps) that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for such third-party sites.
14.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Kenyan law, in no event shall HousehelpConnect, Kejani Connect, its affiliates, agents, directors, or employees be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the platform.
14.2 This Agreement in no way creates an employer and employee relationship between HousehelpConnect and any helper. Helpers are independent contractors, not employees of Kejani Connect.
15.1 You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HousehelpConnect and Kejani Connect from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from: your use of the platform; your violation of this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service; any violation of any third-party right; or your violation of any applicable Kenyan law.
15.2 This clause shall survive the termination of this Agreement.
16.1 The parties agree that early resolution of disputes is crucial. Disputes shall first be referred to informal negotiations via househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org. If not settled within fourteen (14) days, disputes shall be settled by reference to a court of competent jurisdiction in Kenya.
16.2 This Privacy Policy and any related action will be governed by the laws of Kenya without regard to conflict of law provisions.

18.3 Severability. If any provision is held illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
18.4 Choice of Law. This Privacy Policy and any related action will be governed by the laws of Kenya. The exclusive jurisdiction of any action will be the courts of Kenya.
18.5 Good Faith. The parties undertake to act in good faith with respect to each other's rights under this Privacy Policy.
18.6 Language. This Privacy Policy is drawn up in English. The English language version shall be controlling in all respects.

This Client Terms of Service Agreement is a contract between you (the "Client") and KEJANI CONNECT (BN-6ASRJD2M), operating the HousehelpConnect platform. You must read, agree with, and accept all terms in this Agreement in order to use the HousehelpConnect service.
BY USING THE HOUSEHELPCONNECT SERVICE, YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT.
1.1 Description. HousehelpConnect is a domestic services marketplace that connects verified domestic helpers with client households in Nairobi, Kenya. Descriptions on the platform give an approximate idea of services and do not have contractual force beyond what is expressly stated in a confirmed booking.
1.2 Account Registration and KYC. You must provide accurate Account Information during registration. You cannot transfer your account without our prior written approval. The service is available only to persons aged eighteen (18) years and older who are capable of forming legally binding contracts under Kenyan law.
1.3 You are responsible for: (i) maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password; (ii) all transactions made using your credentials; and (iii) any and all consequences of use or misuse of your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org.
1.4 Changes to Services. HousehelpConnect may modify this Agreement at any time. Changes are effective thirty (30) days after notice through the platform or to your email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
2.1 HousehelpConnect is a marketplace platform — a technology intermediary. We are not an employer of the helpers listed on our platform. Helpers are independent contractors who use the platform to offer their services.
2.2 We are not a party to the service agreement between you and the helper. However, we facilitate the booking, payment, and dispute resolution process.
2.3 You maintain the direct relationship with your selected helper and are responsible for: (a) providing clear service instructions; (b) treating the helper with dignity and respect; (c) ensuring a safe working environment at your premises; and (d) complying with the Employment Act 2007 in your treatment of helpers.
3.1 How Booking Works. Browse verified helpers, select your preferred helper and service type, choose your date and time, and confirm payment. Once payment is confirmed, the booking is confirmed and the helper is notified. A receipt is generated for your records.
3.2 Fees and Charges. The price you see is the full price you pay. It is all-inclusive — no separate service fee is added at checkout, and HousehelpConnect's service commission is already built into it. Prices are set by the platform per service type and are shown clearly before you confirm payment.
3.3 Payment Processing. All payments are processed by IntaSend Solutions Limited, a licensed payment service provider in Kenya. By making a payment, you also agree to be bound by IntaSend's payment terms. You may only submit payments for genuine domestic services. IntaSend Solutions Limited and its affiliates process transactions on our behalf.
3.4 Escrow Protection. Your payment is held securely until the service is completed. If a helper fails to arrive or does not complete the service, raise a dispute within 24 hours of the scheduled service time. HousehelpConnect will investigate within 3 business days and issue a refund if the claim is valid.
Refund requests must be submitted through the platform or by emailing househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org.
5.1 You may only submit payments through HousehelpConnect that are genuinely authorized by you for real domestic services.
5.2 HousehelpConnect is not responsible for authorized and completed charges that are later subject to a dispute if the service was rendered as booked.
5.3 You are immediately responsible to us for all disputes, refunds, reversals, or returns regardless of the reason or timing.
5.4 You may challenge a dispute by contacting us through the app or at househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org. We cannot guarantee that your challenge will be successful as we must investigate each case on its merits.
5.5 You are liable for all losses you incur when lost or stolen payment credentials are used to make bookings. HousehelpConnect does not insure you against losses caused by fraud.

7.1 HousehelpConnect maintains commercially reasonable security procedures to protect your data and transactions.
7.2 You are solely responsible for the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with any other person.
7.3 We may, at our sole discretion, suspend your account to maintain the integrity and security of the platform. You waive any right to make a claim against us for losses resulting from such protective actions.
8.1 After each completed service, you are encouraged to rate and review the helper. Ratings must be honest and based on your genuine experience.
8.2 HousehelpConnect reserves the right to remove reviews that are defamatory, false, or in violation of these Terms.
8.3 Helpers may also rate clients. Clients with a persistent low rating may be suspended from the platform.
You represent, warrant, and agree that you will not use HousehelpConnect in a manner that: infringes intellectual property rights; violates any applicable Kenyan law; is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, or defamatory; jeopardizes the security of any account; or facilitates human trafficking, forced labour, or exploitation of domestic workers. You will use HousehelpConnect only as permitted by applicable Kenyan law. You acknowledge your obligations under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act 2018, and all other applicable laws.
11.1 Either party may terminate this Agreement by giving 14 days' written notice.
11.2 HousehelpConnect may immediately terminate your account without notice if you: violate these Terms; engage in fraudulent activity; are abusive toward helpers; or otherwise harm the platform or its users.
11.3 Account termination may result in the removal of your account data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
12.1 HousehelpConnect makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee as to the reliability, timeliness, quality, suitability, availability, safety, accuracy, or completeness of any helper's services.
12.2 The platform may be subject to limitations, delays, and other problems inherent in the use of the internet. HousehelpConnect is not responsible for any delays or delivery failures resulting from such problems.
13.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Kenyan law, in no event shall HousehelpConnect, Kejani Connect, its affiliates, agents, directors, employees, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages.
13.2 This Agreement in no way creates an employer and employee relationship. Helpers you engage through HousehelpConnect are independent contractors, not employees of Kejani Connect.
14.1 You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HousehelpConnect and Kejani Connect from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from: your use of the platform; your violation of these Terms; any violation of any third-party right; your violation of any applicable law; or any damage caused to a helper or their property.
14.2 This clause shall survive the termination of this Agreement.

16.5 Choice of Law. The laws of Kenya govern this Agreement. The exclusive jurisdiction of any action will be the courts of Kenya.
16.6 Independent Legal Advice. You acknowledge that HousehelpConnect is not providing legal advice and that you have been afforded an opportunity to obtain independent legal advice.
16.7 Good Faith. The parties undertake to act in good faith with respect to each other's rights under this Agreement.
16.8 Language. This Agreement is drawn up in English. The English language version shall be controlling in all respects.

The service is available only to persons aged eighteen (18) years and older who are legally entitled to work in Kenya.
1.3 You are responsible for: (i) maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials; (ii) all activity on your account; and (iii) any consequences of use or misuse of your credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org.

Founding and Top Rated helpers keep a larger share.
5.2 Payouts are made every Friday to your registered M-Pesa number via IntaSend Solutions Limited.
5.3 To enable us to process payouts, you authorize HousehelpConnect, through IntaSend, to receive and settle payment processing proceeds owed to you. You affirm that your M-Pesa number is registered in your legal name.
6.1 We maintain commercially reasonable security procedures to protect your data in compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019.
6.2 You are solely responsible for the security of your account credentials. Do not share your login details with anyone.
6.3 You are solely responsible for losses you incur from unauthorized use of your account credentials. We do not insure you against losses caused by fraud.

This Helper Platform Service Agreement is a contract between you (the "Helper") and KEJANI CONNECT (BN-6ASRJD2M), operating the HousehelpConnect platform. You must read, agree with, and accept all terms in this Agreement in order to register as a helper on HousehelpConnect.
BY REGISTERING AS A HELPER ON HOUSEHELPCONNECT, YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT.
1.1 HousehelpConnect is a domestic services marketplace connecting verified helpers with client households in Nairobi, Kenya. The platform facilitates discovery, booking, payment, and GPS navigation for domestic service delivery.
1.2 Registration and KYC. You must provide accurate Account Information including your National ID, experience, service categories, and references. All documents submitted must be genuine. You cannot transfer your account without our prior written approval. The service is available only to persons aged 18+ who are legally entitled to work in Kenya.
1.3 Vetting and Approval. All helpers must pass our vetting process: (i) identity verification against National ID; (ii) reference check with your previous employer; (iii) review of professional certificates; and (iv) admin approval. HousehelpConnect reserves the right to reject any application at its sole discretion.
1.4 Tier Assignment. Your tier (Standard or Senior/Certified) is assigned by the admin team during vetting based on your experience and qualifications. You cannot change your own tier. Tiers are reviewed every six (6) months.
1.5 Changes to Services. HousehelpConnect may modify this Agreement at any time. Changes are effective thirty (30) days after notice through the platform or to your email.
2.1 You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, joint venture partner, or franchisee of HousehelpConnect or Kejani Connect.
2.2 As an independent contractor, you are responsible for: (i) your own taxes, NHIF contributions, and NSSF contributions; (ii) your own tools and equipment unless agreed otherwise with the client; (iii) your own transport to and from client locations; and (iv) compliance with all applicable Kenyan laws.
2.3 HousehelpConnect does not control the manner in which you perform your services. You retain the right to work for other clients and platforms provided you meet your booked commitments on HousehelpConnect.
2.4 Nothing in this Agreement creates a contract of employment. You are not entitled to any employment benefits including annual leave pay, sick leave, maternity/paternity pay, or redundancy pay from HousehelpConnect.
2.5 This Agreement in no way creates an employer and employee relationship. Any form of agency relationship that may arise shall be limited to the specific scope of facilitating platform bookings.
3.1 Platform-Set Rates. All service rates on HousehelpConnect are set by the platform, not by individual helpers. Rates are standardized to ensure fairness, transparency, and client trust. Helpers may not negotiate or set their own rates outside of these standards.
3.2 Current Service Prices (all-inclusive, per booking): The client pays the price shown; you receive the amount below (the platform's commission is already deducted). Founding and Top Rated helpers receive more.
Rates are reviewed every six (6) months. You will be notified of changes thirty (30) days in advance.
3.3 Your Earnings. For each job, you are shown the exact payout you will receive before you accept it. HousehelpConnect retains a service commission (the difference between the client's all-inclusive price and your payout), currently averaging about 16% of booking value, covering marketing, payment processing, background checks and platform maintenance. Founding and Top Rated helpers keep a larger share. Payouts are made every Friday.
3.4 Payout Schedule. Earnings are paid to your registered M-Pesa number every Friday for all bookings completed and confirmed during the preceding week. HousehelpConnect may withhold payment during a pending dispute investigation, suspected fraud, or where required by law.

5.1 All payments are processed through HousehelpConnect and IntaSend Solutions Limited. You may not collect cash from clients for bookings made through the platform.
5.2 In the event of a dispute raised by a client, HousehelpConnect will investigate and may request your account of events. You agree to cooperate fully.
5.3 If a refund is issued to a client following a valid dispute, the corresponding amount will be deducted from your pending or future earnings.
5.4 You are immediately responsible to us for all disputes, refunds, reversals, or returns that result from your failure to deliver services as booked.
6.1 Before every booking, both client and helper profiles are visible to each other through the platform. Do not proceed with a booking if you feel unsafe.
6.2 You are solely responsible for the security of your account credentials. Do not share your login details with anyone.
6.3 If you encounter any safety concern, harassment, or abuse from a client, report it immediately through the app or by emailing househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org.
7.1 After each completed service, clients may rate and review your performance. Your overall rating is visible to all clients.
7.2 Helpers with a sustained rating below 3.5 stars after a minimum of 10 bookings may be suspended pending a review.
7.3 Consistently excellent ratings may qualify you for promotion to Senior tier at the next review period, subject to admin discretion.
8.1 HousehelpConnect does not provide personal accident, public liability, or any other insurance coverage for you as an independent contractor.
8.2 You are encouraged to obtain your own personal accident insurance.
8.3 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HousehelpConnect and Kejani Connect from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from: your conduct while delivering services; any damage to client property caused by you; any personal injury you sustain; or your violation of this Agreement.
You represent, warrant, and agree that you will not use HousehelpConnect in a manner that: infringes intellectual property rights; violates any applicable Kenyan law; is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, or defamatory; jeopardizes the security of any account; attempts to circumvent our fee structure or booking system; or facilitates any form of illegal activity. A violation is grounds for immediate account termination, forfeiture of pending earnings, and potential legal action under Kenyan law.
10.1 You will use HousehelpConnect only as permitted by applicable Kenyan law. You confirm you are legally entitled to work in Kenya and all documents submitted during registration are genuine.
10.2 You acknowledge your obligations under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 with respect to any client personal data you access through the platform. You must not retain, copy, or share client data beyond what is necessary for service delivery.
11.1 Either party may terminate this Agreement by giving 14 days' written notice.
11.2 HousehelpConnect may immediately terminate your account without notice if you: steal from or defraud a client; engage in abusive conduct; provide false information during registration; or otherwise cause harm to the platform or its users.
11.3 Upon termination, pending earnings for completed and confirmed bookings will be paid on the next regular payout date. Earnings for disputed bookings will be withheld pending investigation.
12.1 HousehelpConnect makes no representation or guarantee as to the number of bookings you will receive. Volume depends on client demand, your rating, and your availability.
12.2 HousehelpConnect does not represent or warrant that you will earn any specific amount through the platform.
13.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Kenyan law, in no event shall HousehelpConnect, Kejani Connect, its affiliates, agents, directors, or employees be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the platform.
13.2 This Agreement does not create an employer and employee relationship. HousehelpConnect has no liability for any employment-related claims you may have.
14.1 Disputes shall first be referred to informal negotiations via househelpconnect@househelpconnect.org. If not settled within fourteen (14) days, disputes shall be settled by reference to a court of competent jurisdiction in Kenya.
14.2 This Agreement and any related action will be governed by the laws of Kenya.
15.1 Entire Agreement. This Agreement supersedes any prior discussions, agreements, or representations relating to your use of HousehelpConnect as a helper.
15.2 Notices. You consent to the use of electronic means to deliver notices. Notices shall be given via email or through the HousehelpConnect platform.
15.3 Severability. If any provision is held illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
15.4 Choice of Law. The laws of Kenya govern this Agreement. The exclusive jurisdiction of any action will be the courts of Kenya.
15.5 Independent Legal Advice. You acknowledge that HousehelpConnect is not providing legal advice and that you have been afforded an opportunity to obtain independent legal advice.
15.6 Good Faith. The parties undertake to act in good faith with respect to each other's rights under this Agreement.
15.7 Language. This Agreement is drawn up in English. The English language version shall be controlling in all respects.
